editorials and the like……

it has been brought to my attention that when ranting and raving and going off it is good not to assume the people who are reading your stuff know what you are talking about. and to add in as many facts to back up your statements.

i also want to add the ultimate TRUTH authority on how i make choices, make decisions and live my life is by one book. the holy Word of God. it is truth, period.

ok so for the obama stuff, you HAVE to look at his voting record to see where he stands.

http://www.votesmart.org/voting_category.php?can_id=BS030017

Matthew 7:15-17 NIV
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

we MUST be informed. we must fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.

James 1:27 NIV
27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
Hosea 4:6 NIV

6 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
       “Because you have rejected knowledge,
       I also reject you as my priests;
       because you have ignored the law of your God,
       I also will ignore your children.

Christians are destroyed BY LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. it says so in the Word.

i hope this clarifies some. if you have questions, please do ask. i will help to find you answers.

it has been almost 2 years

November 25, 2008 at 6:04 pm (Uncategorized)

i am a bit anxious about it. being with everyone. with all that has gone on the past few months it is going to be hard.

i know i am stronger then ever. my family is too. the 5 of us are a force to reckoned with.

prayer and the Word are our solid foundation.

as long as we seek Him all will be right.

satan has no bearing on me, or my house. i am more then a conqueror!

James 1:2-12

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

9 The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position. 10 But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower. 11 For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will fade away even while he goes about his business.

12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

my thoughts on obama

November 18, 2008 at 6:20 pm (Uncategorized)

so everyone seems to be spouting off about the hope he will be. the change he will bring. he will fix the financial crisis. he will save the auto industry. he will bring money and stability back to the American worker. he will rescue the environment and stop global warming. put to rights iran, iraq, afghanistan and pakistan.

it seems like everyone thinks he will help their cause.

you know, i would like to see him try. see him succeed. but that is so not reality. one man cannot do that. after all in government there are layer upon layer of people that are working to get certain agendas done. good or bad.

the president does not run the whole show. he has his layer too.

so it is really painful to see people putting so much stock and hope in a single man. i just don’t trust that.

now on a whole other level is his voting record. the man does not vote to uphold life or Biblical principles.

how can any confessing believer think this guy is ok????

if he goes against the Word, the actual scripture, how can a born again say he is going to do so much good???

he will keep on with his voting record. he will continue to hold an unborn child in contempt. i don’t see how a person who calls themselves a Christian, a Christ follower, can also follow this man.

i do not see him as hope. i do not see him as this big change engine.

i see him as one who is a sweet talker, a man who has a silver tongue. he will do things right in front of us that should not happen. he will pull the wool over our nations eyes. and we will let him. if we do not stand for what is RIGHT he will do it all and then some and it will be on our heads cause we LET IT HAPPEN.

rise up. FIGHT!

from a good friend

Do not hurry
as you walk with grief;
it does not help the journey.
Walk slowly,
pausing often.
Do not hurry
as you walk with grief.
Be not disturbed
by memories that come unbidden.

Swiftly forgive;
and let Christ speak for you
unspoken words.

Unfinished conversation
will be resolved in Him.
Be not disturbed.
Be gentle with the one
who walks with grief.

If it is you,
be gentle with yourself.

Swiftly forgive;
walk slowly,
pausing often.
Take time, be gentle
as you walk with grief.
